Lipitor was approved in 1999 by the FAD, Atorvastatin Calcium is a prescription drug which is available only under the brand name of Lipitor, this medication belongs to a class of drugs called HMG CoA reductase inhibitors, or "statins."

Lipitor is only available in 10mg, 20mg, 40mg, 80mg tablets; it should be always taken along with water, for better results this medication should be combined with a low cholesterol diet and a healthy exercise plan
